I had this old metal lawn chair sitting in my yard, given to me by my neighbor and I've been slowly working on it. Finally finished it and just love how it turned out. I scraped off years of paint. Probably 4 different coats and colors! Sanded and primed with a anti rust paint then put the final coat on. I used a Valspar spray paint called Valspar Premium Finish. It came out in a mist and the can was special cause I could hold it anyway even upside down and the paint would come out! So cool and so easy to apply. Very nice Valspar! Love it! This is also my new favorite color I think :) Here is the after shot.
Also, I painted a table to match. I have had it lying around for years. That little thing turned out pretty nice, but was a super pain in the you know what. Layers of veneer kept separating and so I had to clamp and glue repeatedly. Sigh . . . mostly because right now our barn roof is leaking. So once I was able to keep it dry, and glued together, I gave it the same coat of paint as the chair. The top I painted with a texture spray paint that was suppose to resemble stone. Not as good as I was hoping for. Plus the can ran out way too fast. I would only recommend it for small projects and plan on using all of it, because it does not store well. The texture bits gum up and plug the straw in the can making impossible to use the rest later. My husband said holding it upside down and sprayingwill clear out the straw and stop this from happening. Mr. Smarty pants . . . :) hehe
