Christmas Mugs With Handmade Touch

I decided to take my own advice and make sharpie mugs as gifts for my family. These are designs I drew out on paper then transferred to a white stoneware mug using Sharpie brand markers. They are a lot of fun and easy to do. For these I started by doing some sketches.

Then I traced my drawings on tracing paper and cut them out.

Taped my cutouts onto the mug. Next, I traced around the edges with a Sharpie Marker. This gave the basic outer shape. I had to be careful not to touch the tracing paper, because the marker had a tendency to bleed into it and smear.  The inside details of the design I did free hand on the mug.

I wrote personal notes on the back of each mug :)

When you are done with your design (remember to let dry first to avoid smearing) place on baking sheet. Place in a cold oven, set at 350 degrees. After 30 minutes, turn off oven. Don't remove till oven is cool.
