Welcome to my kitchen! It was so fun to design our kitchen space. A long process that started in the summer of 2012. We decided to begin work on our kitchen that summer. We were expecting our oldest and eager to have cabinets before she was born.
Todd and I love white cabinets. We purchased unfinished, in-stock cabinets and painted them antique white. We chose to go with the white farm house theme for our kitchen. Accents in deep red and dusty blue. Natural elements-like the wood paneled ceiling and wood stained table top - reflect our love of nature.
Tokens of a French Country Style - white, natural wood tones, terracotta red, creams and soft gray, are all classic French color choices. The floor was smooth plywood we decided to paint. Using two different colors of porch paint, we painted a tile design.
Our kitchen has a nice flow now thanks to the custom table and storage bench we built. We swapped out a ceiling fan for a iron brushed chandelier.
Above the sink we hung a metalwork blue window pane. Also, a nod to the French Country Style.
I hope you enjoyed visiting my country kitchen. To us, it's just so beautiful. . . C'est si beau.
