This Easter Egg Tree makes a great centerpiece! Easy and fun to do. I had none of the stuff for coloring eggs so we did this instead.
What you will need:
- Sticks, small branches
- Scrap-booking paper
- Pen or Pencil
- scotch tape
- white thread
- Flower pot
The kids and I made this Easter Egg tree together. Making good use of all our scrap-booking paper again, we had fun practicing drawing ovals and then cutting them out. First we found sticks all over our yard doing some yard clean-up for Spring.
We saved a nice twig and put it inside a small flower pot. To make it stand up we put a little dirt in the pot. We next, drew, cut and then tapped a thread loop to our paper eggs.
Lastly, we hung the eggs on the tree. It would be nice to add basket grass around the bottom of the tree or colored eggs or candy. Another idea that would be fun would be to spray paint the sticks white, or a fun spring color before putting them in the pot. Just make sure your thread matches the color you choose.
Autumn put her favorite finger puppet under the tree and some extra paper eggs ;) Looks cute on our kitchen table.
