Website Changes and Illustrating

These past weeks I have been working on two things. My website, making some changes that I think were necessary. Did you notice? There is now a Contact Page, where you can fill out a form and contact me for illustration services or other commissioned work. If you have a project and need a designer I'd love to hear from you.

New, also, a Purchase page where you can buy my coloring pages and books I've illustrated. And lastly, I changed my logo. I like it much better. I think the design ties in better to my header and the black text looks more classic, sophisticated. The font is one I use elsewhere on my site, repeating it in my logo brings unity.

Also, I have been working on some illustrations for a project being released next month. These illustrations are character sketches for a novel written by author Dee Farrell. I love working with authors and making their characters come to life in imagery. No one knows the characters in the story better than the author who invented them. They sometimes have a vivid image of what their characters look like in their mind. It is great talking with them and learning how the character needs to be represented. Reading copy of the book or novel is important to me too so I can see how the character is described in the framework of the authors own written word.

These are great characters, and its a great historical fiction piece by Dee Farrell. I hope you all get a copy soon when it is published this summer.

Have a great weekend everyone!
